Location: Washington, DC
Status: Full time; Exempt (This position is included in a union-represented collective bargaining unit; specific employment terms and conditions are subject to labor-management negotiations and a potential Collective Bargaining Agreement.)
Salary Range: $53,000-$60,000

Position Summary
The Hub Project is looking to add a mission-driven and organized Paid Media Senior Associate to our paid media team. The Paid Media Senior Associate will work with The Hub’s paid media team and the campaigns and research departments to develop innovative, strategic, and effective paid media creative on a range of progressive issues in key states. In this role, you will project manage the paid creative process from inception to ad launch — everything from maintaining project trackers, gathering and consolidating feedback, enforcing deadlines, and managing the approvals process. You will work with the paid media team, local state teams, and outside vendor partners to script, edit, and produce impactful creative that persuades our target audiences and ladders up to our program goals. We’re a fast-moving organization that’s always ready to jump into the next fight, so the right person for the job is not afraid of taking on new opportunities and quickly responding to an ever-changing news cycle while keeping all the pieces on track and on time.

As Paid Media Senior Associate, you will:

  • Coordinate with internal teams and paid media vendors, including TV, direct mail, digital firms, and on-the-ground state teams, to manage creative approvals processes for multi-million dollar paid campaigns
  • Create and maintain detailed project trackers for ad products and their deadlines
  • Work with The Hub’s digital team and vendors to track advertising spending across the country on TV, radio, and digital platforms
  • Work with internal and vendor partners to develop and execute rapid-response content
  • Work with The Hub’s operations team to track and process media buy contracts, payments, and other related department expenses and digital assets
  • Keep a pulse on the latest trends and best practices for paid media and find innovative ways to integrate them into our campaigns
  • Analyze and track paid media performance and create reports for a variety of stakeholders
  • Perform other duties as assigned

About you:

  • You have experience in the development and production process of ads, videos, and websites
  • You have a strong understanding of the fundamentals of a paid media campaign (strategy, audience + targeting, and messaging)
  • You have experience managing projects with many stakeholders and are able to clearly and effectively organize and communicate feedback
  • You thrive working on projects with countless moving pieces, decision-makers, and deadlines
  • You are flexible, organized, and detail-oriented
  • You are comfortable taking on evolving responsibilities
  • You are comfortable working on tight deadlines in rapid-response moments and balancing multiple projects
  • Familiarity with paid media platforms, like Facebook or Google, preferred but not required

Preferred experience

  • One year of relevant advertising experience
